Hello Iveco drivers ! I made a small photosite with pics from the journeys of Stóribjótur our Iveco Daily Turbo in Iceland: http://www.angelfire.com/crazy/my_iveco/photos/ Take a look, best regards ! Þorleifur.
This year we have visited Iceland with our Iveco Daily campervan. But it is only a 4 x 2, so we could not cross the highlands. We only touched the highlands once on Kaldidalur vegur (where a screw punctured a tire) and some kms from the north to Aldeyarfoss.
We drove about 3.500 km around Iceland, without any problems. Our Iveco did a good job, even on bumpy, steep and narrow roads (e.g. to Dettifoss, sönghellir at snaefellsjökull, up to the lighthouse of dyrholaey ...).
We are fascinated by the icelandic landscape. So we hope to come back to Iceland in 2008.
I filled my profile with a photo of our Iveco. Not a very special one, but we like it very much. We made about 85.000 kms within the last seven years all around Europe, especially France, Scandinavia (the very north) and of course Iceland this year.
The picture is taken at the parking near Aldeyarfoss/Iceland. I am sure you know the place.
@Jürgen: Danke für die Erläuterung zum Bilder-Hochladen. Geht ja ganz einfach.
@all: Here is a photo of our Iveco. It is an "ordinary", rear-wheel-drive 40-12 from 1999. The photo is taken at Karahnjukar/Iceland. A difficult location, I know, but we wanted to get an own impression of the project.
