Whose bleeding Range Rover do you think it is in the pictures? :-)
BTDT. My current views are based on experience.
Thanks for the thought though.

David,
Perhaps you would be interested in this article on LPG in modern
diesels?
http://www.iwemalpg.com/Diesel_LPG.htm it might not be "off the shelf"
for DIY purposes, but it is possible.

I have tried the other gas conversion, mixing some LPG vapour into the
inlet air stream, feeding the diesel.
I haven't found the fuel combination to be cost effective, in terms of
fuel cost per mile.
I'm convinced the result varies with which engine is so modified, the
worse the stock engine, the better the comparison.
Accurate control of the LPG quantity is also important, the more so the
more advanced the diesel engine.
There is no 'off the shelf' system to provide this accuracy.

combination. "
The current BMW diesel engines are amongst the best in the world for
luxury performance / economy, in the cars they are designed for. Adding
an extra tonne to the vehicle carcase blunts the benefits.
