Dass Entführung (und nun auch Mord) von Touristen offenbar kein Einzelfall in Bolivien sind, und der "Trick" mit falschen Polizisten, welche die Pincodes der Bankomatkarten herauspressen, sehr häufig angewandt wird, wird auf den Reisesicherheitsseiten des Auswärtigen Amtes tunlichst ignoriert. Das ist das Ärgerliche. Der Fall von Katharina und Peter war kein Einzelfall, sondern es steckt eine ganze Kidnappingsindustrie dahinter, wie in Kolumbien. Dass die Außenministerien davor nicht warnen, ist grob fahrlässig!

Wobei das österreichische Außenministerium ja wenigstens vor der Vorgehensweise warnt, im deutschen Auswärtigen Amt ist gan nix zu lesen! <img src="http://www.s153190895.online.de/forum/images/graemlins/graem-thumbsdown.gif" alt="" />

La Paz, Apr 18 (Prensa Latina) The Bolivian government took control and dissolved the Judicial Technical Police (PTJ) Wednesday, after evidence that one of its officers conspired with the killers of an Austrian tourist couple.
Interior Government Minister Alicia Muñoz announced the drastic measure, adding the Special Force against Crime (FELCC) will replace the PTJ, whose personnel will be fully changed in 48 hours.
The police chief, General Isaac Pimentel, said the decision was made after a PTJ officer was found to have had contacts with a band that kidnapped Austrian tourists Peter Kirsten Rabitsch and Katharina Koller.
After forcing them to reveal the keywords of their bank cards, the criminals killed them and buried them in an underground graveyard, where the remains were recently found by the Bolivian police.
Muñoz said the measure was taken as part of the policy against corruption and criminality in the country.
