Hi I think you need IVECO 7168035 which is 7/43 (1:6,14) and this seems not to be listed at suonama

yes but as far as I know, that`s the part number of this crown wheel, but not the number of the set you need, which is pinion & crown wheel and has a spare part number for this set.

Yes, I understand.
Do you know does these suonama kits fit for old wm if I change them both rear and front differentials? Gear ratio changes of course.
I'm calling tomorrow for Iveco but the prices are usually quite fancy...

you can switch to the version of the civil 40.10W 4x4 (7170858)* which have 9/47 (1:5,11) this fits without problems in the WM Axle housing. Here I had written about how to change pinion & crown wheel threadedit: Other transmission ratios will not fit without changes to the axle housing or pinion/crown wheel , but we have not tested this until now. * 2200,-€ incl. taxes in 2015.

Ok, closest from Suonama is 9/44. It's confusing as they have the correct part number (7168035) in there. That post for changing the gears is super, will be very helpful - Thanks!

Hi, the ones from Suonama won't fit out of the box. But it is possible to make them fit. Although I would take the set from a 4x2 (part nr. 7175174) which you get in Europe for about 200€. I did a lot of research on this topic and had long chats with people who did it this way. Unfortunately I don't have the experience myself to adjust pinion and bevel gear. But it definitly is possible. Attached is a chart with all the meassuerements of the different versions. In red is where you need a 4mm spacer. Best

I am not sure if the 4x2 sets are dimensioned as strong as the ones from the 4x4. Because if you drive the 4x4 with reduction, there is significantly higher torque at the axle drive....

Great information again, thanks..
Chatted yesterday with Suonama and they added another set of gears to their website (7/41) which they verified should be straight fit for old wm and also original installation for chinese 4x4.
Decided to give them a try (might be a mistake). I will let you know after parts arrive.
