Hi all,
Even if Iceland is very far up north and a very beautyful country, most probably porleifur is not doing winter camping ;-), so the sun light is available and the panels can also be mounted on the side of the truck, this would even make them point much better towards the sun. Even a reovable panel can make sense. If a good second hand panel can be bought in switzerland at half the original price, the shipment is not so expensive.
good solar panels and complete systems are built by many different companies such as phillips, sunset, sanyo and many more. If you need 240VAC an inverter does a good job. If you stay on a camp site, charging can be done by local power supply. might be that you can find something at biltema or a boat accessory supplier.
