danke eure Angaben decken sich weitesgehend mit meinen SQL und Server Logfiles und helfen sehr die Performance zu optimieren.
Habe noch mal etwas an den SQL Schrauben gedreht, feedback erwünscht.

Morgen Abend geht das Forum mal für einige Zeit Offline, es werden 12 Updatepakete eingespielt und die Indexe der Tabellen optimiert. Dannach sind auch einige zusätzliche Funktionen im Forum.

Hier im Detail die Updates (für interessierte):

Version 6.5 is a major upgrade, with an entirely new control panel, a new upgrade system, and many new features and refinements.

More complex searches using + (required word) and - (posts that don't contain a word).
* Cut 2 queries out of postlist.php for efficiency.
* Cut 1 query out of showflat.php for efficiency.
* Cut 1 query out of showthreaded.php for efficiency.
* Cut another query out of showflat.php if there are no unread posts in the thread.
* Made some modifications to the indexes on the Posts table. This will substantially reduce the number of rows needing to be searched on the postlist/showflat/showthreaded screens.
* Added option to make a post sticky when creating it by selecting a checkbox.
* Moved all thread management tools, move thread, stick/unstick thread, delete thread, (un)lock thread and (un)keep thread out of the edit post screen and down to the bottom of showflat/showthreaded.

danke für dein update phil. im moment isses ganz ok, wenn auch nicht wahnssinns schnell, hier is 1300 müsste in d 0700 sein?

ansonsten hätt ich da mal noch ne doofe frage, lizenz für forum? gibts sowas ned kostenlos? habt ihr schonmal probiert ob eine andere forensoftware vielleicht schneller ist?
an der hardware kann es ja wohl kaum liegen, ausser die festplatten wäre zu lahm, was ich mal nicht denke das ihr da mist gemacht hat. aber vielleicht ist es ja einfach die software, who knows....

Die Differenz zwischen Donnerstag (8300) und Dienstag (9800) sind lediglich 1500 Besucher/Tag .

Kostenlose Forensoftware, ja das habe ich mir seinerzeit auch schon mal überlegt, aber die Vorteile dieses Produktes einer kostenlosen bevorzugt.
Der Support ist sehr gut, die ausgelieferten Versionen stabil, es ist weniger verbreitet ergo weniger anfällig für Hacker. Das KO für die anderen Boards liegt im wesentlichen im Administrationsbereich.
PhPb ist das weitest verbreitete Board (kostenlos) aber auch eins der am meisten gehackten.
Daher bezahle ich gerne die Lizenzgebühren
