Bei manchen P38a ist das BECM (Body Engine Control Module) respektive die Funkverriegelung daran schuld, wenn die Batt. leer wird. Wenn nämlich auf der Frequenz der Alarmanlage gesendet wird empfängt diese etwas und auch wenn da nicht der eigene Schlüssel war wird so doch verhindert, dass das BECM in den Schlafmodus übergeht.

Dein Freund soll mal die Antenne abklemmen (iirc rechts hinter der Kofferraumverkleidung) und den Wagen nur mit Schlüssel abschliessen um das zu testen.
