Cheers, Catalin That's what I had to do during the couple years as an owner of a TGR, went through a full restoration to no avail. Sold it frustrated in 2006. Replaced it with something much more reliable that still serves me well in 2024. Doing full time overlanding for the last 5 years and counting. Greetings from Seattle WA on the way to Alaska (again) Glad to hear you found something that suits you. With the budget I have and the fact that I don't want to wait that much makes TGR a good option. I'm waiting to hear on a 2001 right now and see if I can get it, it's reserved so my hopes aren't high. Do you have some advice from what you've been through? In 2006 they were still in production and the fact that you had such a bad experience is not encouraging.
