Was würdet Ihr denn davon halten?

Hello to our Rover folks wanting a perfect automatic transmission and
a great cooling system.

1 In talking to Jeff at Advance Adapters about the best automatic
transmission for the 2.8TGV here is a bit of information.

I think he would be happier with the 4L80E. I would recommend the
Compushift (compushift.com) stand-alone controller for it, as it has
pre-programmed diesel shift points, in addition to tow-haul mode
(compression braking). The 4L80E will get you better fuel mileage and
longer engine life.
This with Marks4WD adapter to the LT230 transfercase you have all the
parts fitting together and working.
No flex plate problems, no cutting and welding bellhousings.Plus you
will not burn it out!!!!

to see what they come up with in the way of modifing the Disco and
110/90 radiators into a radiator/ intercooler if possible.

Das 4L80E ist so ne Art unkaputtbare Universalautomatik vom Chevy/GM, 4-Gang mit Wandlerüberbrückung, die z.B. bei Hot Rods und anderen Eigenbauten, eben auch bei 4x4, Rockcrawlern usw. gerne genommen wird. Gibts in verschiedenen Versionen, je nach Motoren bis zu 1000 PS. Elektronisch gesteuert oder auch rein mechanisch. Ersatzteile zum individuellen anpassen noch und nöcher und zu Ami-Preisen. Der o.g. Marks4WD ist Australier und hat pasende Adapter fürs LT230, bzw. auch für die weitere Verwendung des originalen Automatik-Schalthebels im alten Range Rover.
