Moin,
klar kannst an der ECU Änderungen vornehmen, aber das würde ich als Feinabstimmung/Tuning oder ähnliches sehen - nicht als 100% notwendig dass der Motor läuft. In der Serie ist auch nicht jeder Motor manuell abgestimmt oder gar die Kolben selektiert (außer Tuning Motoren ;-)
